Day 1: Osaka-Kyoto
Arrive at Kansai Airport. After clearance through customs go to the JR office to exchange your rail voucher for the Japan Rail Pass. Travel on the Haruka Express train to Kyoto station for a stay of three nights.

Day 2: Kyoto
Morning tour of Kyoto. This includes Nijo Castle, Kyoto Imperial Palace and Golden Pavilion.
